The Extended Care rate is a rate that Rover automatically applies to House Sitting and Dog Boarding stays if the pick-up time is significantly later than pet owners’ drop-off time. This ensures that you’re compensated for the additional time.
You and the pet owner can view the Extended Care rate in the booking details. Pet owners can also view this from the Rates section of your profile.
How it works
Pet owners will be required to select a pick-up and drop-off time range in their booking request. Rover will apply an Extended Care rate (per pet) if the pet owner’s pick-up time on the final day of the stay is more than 2 hours later than the drop-off time on the first day of the stay.
This rate varies based on how much additional time you provided extended care.
-
If the Extended Care is more than 2 hours or up to 8 additional hours, the pet owner will pay an additional amount that is 50% of your nightly rate.
- If the Extended Care is more than 8 additional hours, the pet owner will pay an additional amount that is 100% of your nightly rate.
It’s not possible to waive or remove Extended Care rates, but you can always modify the price of the booking. For instructions on how to make modifications to a booking or a pending request, visit the articles below:
